It's like a blanket with sleeves!
So while I've been laying around watching too much mindless television I noticed a commercial that has really grabbed my attention...
I swear if I get one of these for xmas...

CLEAN UP ON AISLE 2

Stampeding Holiday Shoppers Trample Man at Wal-Mart
In a hurry to take advantage of holiday discounts at a Long Island, N.Y., Wal-Mart, hundreds of shoppers busted through the store's front door, trampling a maintenance worker to death.
The 34-year-old man, whose name has not been released, tried to contain the growing crowd when the store opened for its annual Black Friday sale at 5 a.m. But shoppers surged into the store, knocking the man down and stepping on him.
"He was bum-rushed by 200 people," co-worker Jimmy Overby, 43, told the New York Daily News. "They took the doors off the hinges. He was trampled and killed in front of me. They took me down too. ... I literally had to fight people off my back."
Emergency crews were called to save the man's life, but shoppers continued to rush past the scene until police shut down the Valley Stream store. The man was then taken to nearby Franklin Hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 6:03 a.m.
Wal-Mart called the death "a tragic situation," in a statement released Friday. "The safety and security of our customers and associates is our top priority."
But Nassau County Det. Lt. Michael Fleming told the New York Times that the store could have worked harder to prevent this situation.
"I've heard other people call this an accident, but it's not," he tells the Times. "This certainly was foreseeable."
EDITORS NOTE: I hope I'm not going to hell for finding humor in this story and I'm praying that God won't allow me to go out like this guy...personally I would prefer a more "blaze of glory" type exit.

Holiday Decorating Challenge #1
So I was perusing eBay for a few days looking for some cute vintage ornaments to adorn my christmakuh tree with this year. I'm what I like to call a simple decorator, nothing too flashy or out of the ordinary. So when I "bid" on these festive little guys, I
a. wasn't expecting to really win,
b. not happy when I did,
and c. even more disappointed when they arrived on my doorstep-5 broken and all looking pretty rough.
I am putting my faith in Craigslist with the hopes they will be picked up by a more deserving decorator.

What the eBay seller showed...would you say they used some sort of color shade/lightening?

What I got...Not what I would call "simple", but I only have myself to blame.
My real hopes for this year at the Magnolia Street Mantle.

Just like us...

Just like us, Renee steps out with bed hair...or mop head, or something equally embarrassing.

Our boy Kid also rocks a normal, under the radar if you will type outfit with what appears to be a black fur coat and basketball shorts...and then topping it off with a lovely pair of white tights and what I can only make out as white slippers? Really...

Last but never the least...Brandy...remember when Moesha was so hot and she dated Kobe Bryant and she was the sweet girl in the duet, "The boy is mine"? I mean what can we say? Business casual on top and denim attacked by ferocious lap dog on the bottom?
Sorry to make your brain hurt too, but I can't suffer through this alone anymore.

Come and Get it!
So a few close friend's of mine have been working hard for the past oh 2-3 years on a little creation...and tonight we are celebrating it's inception and stuff..

They are called Cap•A•Cooz™ (like Coozies) and how cool is this people, they have BOTTLE OPENERS IN THE BOTTOM OF THEM!!! GENIUS I tell you pure GENIUS!
As you can see they come in various colors and you can get stuff printed on them and everything. Stuff like
"To have and to hold and to keep your beer cold"
"Ginger's last stand, let's see who falls first - Bachelorette Weekend 2008"
"Bike Week MB 2010" (my personal favorite).
So everyone run out and order 2 gazillion of them, I promise it will be worth it, and I can sit back and say I knew them when...and hopefully they will take me on a trip or something in their private jet to their private island...you know nothing big or anything...
In case you would like to witness the Cap•A•Cooz in action, below is an instructional video..It's that easy!

Forgive Me, Tiger
Is golf really a sport? In my personal and professional opinion, a "sport" would constitute the requirement of physical activity. And physical activity, could possibly in some cases itself constitute a sport. You be the judge...

Sometimes sequels are just not the way to go...
This one, just not so great, and I guess I am not a fan of the main characters, but they still have Ethan Stiefel, who I love. They also incorporate hip hop with the traditional ballet, but I just didnt' like tommy and kate... sorry guys. But Mr Stiefel, now he's an amazing dancer and is actually the Dean of the School of Dance at the University of North Carolina School of the Arts. I am still trying to run into him at the local Target or something...Fat chance?

I Voted!
This pretty much sums up my political stance...I voted and am proud I did. I have been pretty anxious these past few weeks, nervous and uncertain about my vote and how I would handle things. But now I am really excited to see the outcome of today, as I believe it can only get better from here. Either way there will be a change, and as a country we have to continue to be resilient and know we will always come out on top. As long as we are respectful to others, recognize where there is a need and fix the problems I think we will come out on top. It's really all we can do, right?
(dang talk about a serious positive attitude today!)

Happy Voting, Patriotic Americans
Wanting to keep you all in the loop on this lovely Electorial Tuesday, we would like to invite you over to The Onion for up-to-date information, as educated and informed citizens like yourself to go the polls. See below:
7:10am Christopher Nathans, 18, cast an informed vote for president and half-a-dozen ignorant votes for mayor, governor, county sheriff, and some ballot initiative about term limits or banks or something.
8:53am Steven Spring of Charlotte, NC voted for Obama due to the fact he could never support a candidate whose last name rhymes with "Hussein".
10:30am Mary Lynn Hauser of Poughkeepsie, NY quickly voted for John McCain and then ran her ballot to the ballot box before she had a chance to change her mind.
